Welcome to orbaas, the online resource booking and allocation system for schools and colleges. More than just a room booking system, orbaas allows teachers to book school resources including ICT suites, mobile projectors, the school minibus, conference rooms, in fact any resource that you want to timetable and make bookable when it's not being used.
Made by teachers for teachers, we've thought about how you would want to use the system and have created a number of unique features, including:
- No more passwords to remember. Click a link from your intranet to get to the system online, anytime, anywhere, it's that simple. Option of secure login if required.
- Bookable resources can be blocked-out to regular timetabled lessons, but you can see the difference between a regular and one-off booking.
- Supports any number of weeks in your timetable and odd weeks such as 'enrichment week' or 'Year 11 mocks' which allows you to set different block-outs just for those weeks.
- Different resources can have different day structures, for example, computer rooms are bookable by period, the minibus is bookable by times of the day.
- Group resources by their properties, for example G19 and G22 are both computer rooms, so you can see the bookings on the same screen, but also see multiple resources together, even if they have different day structures, for example 'main hall' and 'lighting technician'.
- Temporarily disable the booking of particular resources if they are being repaired or out of action.
- We've taken the philospophy that teachers should be trusted to use the system fairly. We've decided not to restrict when and how many bookings can be made.
- Optional pin protection of bookings prevents others from removing them.
