In 2006 teachers at our school would print off room timetables and put them up in the staffroom. Staff would then enter their details against free slots to book computer rooms. This was tedious and had many drawbacks. Members of staff had to walk down to the staffroom, someone had to remember to print off the room timetable masters and put them up each week and you couldn't book a resource at home for a lesson the following day.

Built to the exact needs of the teachers at the school, the system was an instant success. It wasn't long before other schools were asking to use the system. Why not, we thought and bought some hosting space to host the system for other schools.
